Links with the Community

Plaxtol Primary School is very proud to be part of the community and at the heart of our Parish.

We welcome members of the Parish to school at a variety of events, including coffee and cake with the elderly, our Christmas and Summer fairs, Harvest Festival, special assemblies and awards ceremonies.

We are fortunate that members of the community have set up awards within school that are presented at the end of each year. These include:

• the Cartwright Cup for a year 6 pupil who has demonstrated qualities such as caring, taking responsibility and representing the ethos of the school.

• the Peckham Cup for Reading for any pupil in recognition of their efforts in reading.

• the Rosemary Foster History prize for the best history student (see http://www.plaxtolhistory.org.uk/page15.htm for full details).
