Sport Premium is a government funded payment aimed at improving and increasing the provision of PE in schools across the country.
The amount of funds paid is based on the number of pupils in a given school and must be spent solely on PE. It is expected that this initiative will improve PE in school in a sustainable manner. Therefore, when funds are no longer available, PE provision will have improved as a result.
The documents below set out in more detail how the grant was spent at Plaxtol School last year and what our priorities are for future spending.
Swimming lessons are provided on-site for all pupils in the school during Term 6.
Typically many children can:
a) swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres;
b) use a range of strokes effectively; and
c) perfect safe self-rescue in different water conditions.
